Moto GP: Abraham may miss Silverstone due to injury

Friday, June 8, 2012

The Czech rider suffered a number of heavy falls which resulted in injuries to his left hand. With clearly visible wounds, the initial assessment at the Clinica Mobile was that Abraham had supposedly broken two fingers. Until further assessment says otherwise, this could lead to Abraham missing the British Grand Prix.
He will no doubt be looking for a reversal in fortunes, after a less than ideal start to the season so far. Abraham commented: "We were unlucky, as in Barcelona the fall was partly my fault, but not here. Something happened with the bike, which we are trying to understand. The problem is that every time we fall I'm hurting, and this doesn’t allow us to work seamlessly.
"Actually we were doing well, but now with a hand in this conditions and the bike being destroyed, we are forced to stop the test early. Really bad luck. Now on Friday, once the hand’s swelling goes down, we will perform new tests to assess my recovery time."
